Dermal Fillers

As we age, our face begin to show the effects of gravity, sun exposure, and years of facial muscle movement, such as smiling, chewing and squinting.

The underlying tissues that keep our skin looking youthful and plumped up begin to break down, often leaving laugh lines, smile lines, crow’s feet or facial creases over the areas where this muscle movement occurs.

At Luxe Aesthetic Center, we offer a variety of the latest injectable dermal fillers that are designed to instantly smooth away wrinkles, enhance contours, and plump lips. Dermal fillers are used to replace lost volume in cheeks, lift droopy corners of the mouth, fill in sunken hollows under our eyes, and define the jawline. They can also be beneficial in filling certain facial depressions and scars. Results vary among individuals but can typically last six months up to two years depending on the area treated.

What can I expect?

The filler is injected under the skin with a small needle. It works instantly to add volume. To reduce pain during the procedure, the dermal fillers contain a numbing agent called lidocaine. The most common side effects include temporary reactions at the treatment site such as tenderness, swelling, and bruising.

Prior to your treatment, to help prevent bruising we recommend not drinking alcohol 24 hours prior to your treatment and avoid taking aspirin or other blood thinners like ibuprofen 4 – 7 days prior to your treatment (unless taken for other medical issues, i.e. heart condition). We recommend taking homeopathic Arnica Montana tablets at least 3 days prior to your treatment.
